Your tour opens in Monterey, a seaside city with a rich history and gorgeous scenery. Drive along the famed 19-Mile Drive to Carmel before traveling toward Modesto, your base for visiting Yosemite National Park. Visit a family-owned olive oil producer followed by an almond orchard. Dramatic waterfalls to soaring granite peaks, Yosemite will leave you in awe. Enjoy a scenic drive with an expert guide in Yosemite for a day. Make your way to Sacramento and enjoy Old Sacramento – a historic Gold Rush-era neighborhood filled with over 60 restored buildings, wooden sidewalks, and antique gas lamps. Travel over the Sierra Nevada Mountains to the resort town of Lake Tahoe. Board a classic yacht-style vessel for a narrated cruise of Lake Tahoe’s pristine waters. Captivating Panama Canal: Featuring highlights of the Caribbean

April 1 – 12, 2025

The “Captivating Panama Canal” trip will take you on an extraordinary 11-night cruise along the Panama Canal and the Caribbean Sea, where enchanting tales of the past merge seamlessly with breathtaking coastlines and vibrant local cultures. Depart Prague and journey by motorcoach to Passau, Germany where you begin your Emerald Cruises Star-Ship adventure. Narrow cobblestone streets welcome you to Passau, a town nestled on the confluence of three of Europe’s main waterways. Next, travel to Cesky Krumlov with its 13th-century castle, meandering river, and a maze of quaint alleyways, this town has one of the best-preserved centers in Europe. Enjoy an included tour of Austria’s Melk Abbey, featuring gold leaf walls and seemingly endless spiral staircases. Fall Colors on Mark Twain’s Mississippi

October 2025

Discover the beauty of Mark Twain’s Mississippi on this 8-night autumnal cruise. Begin with a pre-cruise hotel stay in St. Louis, famous for its soaring arch. Embark in Alton, a city whose charming monuments dot the historic streets, and prepare to cruise to Hannibal – the boyhood home of Mark Twain and famously known as the setting for many of his writings. Meander along the riverfront trail and rest at Leach Park in Bettendorf, Iowa as you take in the views of the mighty Mississippi. Then head to Dubuque where you can pay a visit to the Dubuque Museum of Art, Iowa’s oldest cultural institution. In LaCrosse, Wisconsin, seek out a local brew pub to get a taste of the city’s long and storied history in the brewing industry. Before journey’s end, spend a day in Red Wing, Minnesota, a city whose pioneering story lives on in its many galleries and museums.

Pennsylvania’s Historic & Amish Experience

September 8 – 14, 2025

Join us as we discover Pennsylvania’s Amish countryside in Lancaster. Visit the Plain and Fancy Farm including the Amish Experience Theatre, tour an Amish farm and house, and enjoy a traditional Amish lunch. Experience the amazing Sight and Sound Theater featuring the play “Noah”. Enjoy “Living the Experience”, an interactive historical reenactment of the Underground Railroad and a Ghost Tour in Lancaster. Explore historic Gettysburg including the Visitor Center, a guided battlefield tour, and the cemetery. Visit Valley Forge where Washington set up his headquarters in 1777 before traveling to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Philadelphia is most notable for its rich history including the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, and Independence National Historic Park, the “most historic square mile in America”. Finish your journey by experiencing “Independence After Hours”, in which you will sneak into Independence Hall and eavesdrop on Jefferson, Adams, and Benjamin Franklin discussing the Declaration of Independence.
